migration-assistant software package provides Import documents and settings from existing operating systems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install migration-assistant
migration-assistant is installed in your system.
Make ensure the migration-assistant package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep migration-assistant *
You will get with migration-assistant package name, version, architecture and description in a table
